known for his role as Detective Shane in the TV show The Shield, returned home to Georgia. Along with his long-time
friend, writer, director and actor Ray McKinnon, they were busy capturing the
footage for their latest film venture, Randy

An invitation only event was held on June 2 at Emory University that was designed to inform Georgia based investors and their advisors about the economic impact of the entertainment industry and the viability of informed private investment in content production.

A phrase that will always be front and center in my mind as a classic indie film line, "Vegas, Baby!" always conjures up fun for me. I've attended the CineVegas Film Festival for 5 years now and each year I've seen it grow into an excellent film festival for both mainstream and independent filmmaking.

This past spring Dailies.12: The PSA Project screened. The goal was to approach a non-profit organization and to craft a ready for broadcast PSA. One of those projects was a spot for the Georgia River Network directed by JD Taylor and featuring a grandfather and his inquisitive granddaughter. The granddaughter was played by local young actress, and a fireball of energy, Christy Richardson.

Since its inception Campus MovieFest has given thousands of college students the opportunity to write, shoot and edit a short film. With each year CMF grows adding more schools and partners such as the Atlanta Film Festival and cable outlets TBS and TMC. While we've written about some of the films and the teams who have participated what we haven't gotten around to is learning more about CMF's inner workings. Well, we've jumped all over that and sent the crew behind CMF a few questions. |
