AUFF Animation Night at Eyedrum
August 28th, 2006 by cjudsonYo folks, if you didn’t catch the Atlanta Underground Film Festival’s Animation Night at Eyedrum last week you missed some weird a** sh*t!
More importantly you missed the animation demonstration that followed. Those who attended got a chance to see how Harvey Birdman is animated and got to see the first episode of Adult Swim’s new show Frisky Dingo–which was mighty good if I do say so me self. Who knew Supervillians need media buys? The animators of FD also talked about their new show and shared their general disdain for Sealab 2021, which was their previous soul-sucking money-grubbing whore of a job. It’s hard out there for an animator.

I’d like to say, just for the record, my disdain for Sealab is far from general. It’s quite specific. I hate everything I animated on Sealab, because I think I am a much better animator now than I was back then, and Frisky Dingo is a much better looking show.
Also, I was forwarded this article by my “soul-sucking money-grubbing whore” of a boss. Awesome. Thanks a lot CinemATL magazine!

Asskissingmode On: Frisky Dingo IS a much better looking show.
Asskissingmode Off: Yo, I’m just cracking wise. A light-skinneded brotha can’t crack wise?
Asskissingmode On: I’m hoping to score an interview with you guys for our rag. I know including you guys in our mag would be a boon for both our rep and for our readers.
Asskissingmode Off: It’s not hard to have something look better than Sealab 2021.
Asskissingmode On: Oh sh*t, it just occured to me that we got some Adult Swim love–or is that hate–on our site. One step closer to kicking the AJC’s a**. One step closer.
